Mark Wesker - President & CEO
Mark brings more than 15 years of experience in the software industry to Artifact. As the co-founder of Sequoia Software in 1992, Mark served as President and Chief Operating Officer from inception, through its IPO (SQSW), and until it was acquired by Citrix Systems, Inc. in May 2001. During his tenure, Mark directed Sequoia's operations from corporate financing; product development; sales, marketing and business development, through service and support.
Mark helped lead the sale of Sequoia to Citrix (CTXS) in May 2001 for $185M in cash. Following the acquisition, Mark served as Citrix's Vice President of Internet Strategy and as a member of Citrix's executive management team.
Mark co-founded Artifact in 2004, and serves as the Company's President, CEO, and Chairman. Mark is also an investor in the Company.
Mark serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Baltimore Technology Council, and formerly serviced as Chairman of the Board. He is a member of the Council's Business Growth Committee and is part of the team that created the Council's Early Adopter Program. Mark practiced law in MD for 6 years prior to founding Sequoia.
Mark is married and has two daughters. He holds Bachelor of Arts degree from the George Washington University and a Jurist Doctor from the University of Baltimore.
