Ray Oglethorpe - President, Oglethorpe Holdings, LLC

Ray is President of Oglethorpe Holdings, LLC, a private investment company. Previously, he served as President of America Online, Inc. until his retirement in September 2002. At AOL he lead over 16,000 employees representing the Netscape and CompuServe organizations; all technology development such as the AOL client and host and other hardware and software products; the Member Services group that provided technical and administrative assistance through telephone and online communication; the data and network operations that powered the company's multiple brands; Strategic Business Solutions, which built and sold packaged software for enterprise solutions; AOL's Internal Computing organization; and the Integrity Assurance group that oversaw and protected the member's online experience. He joined America Online in 1994 as part of the Redgate Communications Corporation's acquisition by AOL.

At Redgate, Ray was the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for global sales, marketing, and client services. Prior to Redgate, Ray held executive positions in international sales, marketing, and product development at Harris Corporation and IBM. Ray served as an officer in the US Army during the Vietnam War, and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.

Ray holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona; an MBA from the George Washington University, and has completed executive programs at the Wharton School and Harvard Business School. He has been an executive member of the American Marketing Association, a trustee of the Marketing Science Institute and a member of the board of directors of Ampro Corporation. He is currently a member of the boards of trustees of George Washington University and St. Edwards School, a board member of Artifact Software and StockerYale, a member of the University of Arizona President's Leadership Team, and serves on the Johns Hopkins Heart Institute Advisory Council.
